Finance: Introduction to Futures (Half-Day)

Course Overview

Audience:

This course is designed for finance professionals in asset management, hedge funds, corporates, or banking who need an understanding of Futures.

Prerequisite:

None

Duration:

This is a half-day (3 hours of training)   course. The timing can be either 09:30 to 12:30 or 13:30 – 16:30.

Alternate timings can be arranged upon request. The course can be held on a date that suits you.

Location:

Our Finance: Introduction to Futures course can be run at our training venue near Liverpool Street (London) or any preferred location in the UK or Europe. The training can also be delivered Online Remotely using online training platforms.

Characteristics of futures exchange-traded markets

Product slates – tick sizes, tick values, contract sizes, contract periods

Margins (initial, variation, and maintenance margins), role of central clearing house

Calculating futures P&L for speculative positions, hedging positions

Worked examples using equity, bond and commodity futures
