Soft Skills - Professionalism in the workplace
Soft Skills is a catch-all term referring to various behaviours that help people work and socialize well with others. In short, they are the good manners and personality traits needed to get along with others and build positive relationships. Unlike hard skills, which include a person’s technical skill set and ability to perform certain functional tasks, soft skills are broadly applicable across job titles and industries. It’s often said that hard skills will get you an interview but you need soft skills to get and keep the job.
Course Overview
Professionalism refers to the behaviours that professionals display at work. It’s how you do the ‘job’ not just what you do. Defining what professionalism looks like is important because it ensures consistently achieving high standards whatever the role, and that the organisation is solid in the message it sends out to internal and external customers.
Professionalism in the workplace training focuses on developing appropriate behaviours, attitudes, and competencies that create a positive and productive work environment. It covers areas like communication, personal responsibility and ethics, aiming to enhance employee performance and build trust within the organisation.
